Resist the temptation to play the barre' parts with one finger. If the notes from two adjacent strings fall on the same fret, don't play a a barre' , instead finger the first note with one finger and play the second note with which ever adjacent finger leaves room for you to walk the first finger down to the next string. Its hard to describe, but your fingers on the left hand appear to be walking when you do it correctly. Especially do that if you are playing on the thicker strings, you can get away with doing a barre' for speed on the thinner strings, but its better to walk not bar your way across the strings.

And get the Berkley melodic rhytmns studies book and practice it a lot, it helps with arpeggios a lot.

One way for me that really helped,is study randy rhoads work....there are many books available that demonstrate his various exercises....scales and approaches.

Yeah Randy Rhoad rules. Blizzard of Oz and Diary Of A Madman practically taught me how to play lead.

Good for you !

Keep practicing and soon you'll be doing them perfectly every try, instead of every other try. wink.gif

If you get bored with the regular major, minor, dimished, try some 7ths and 9ths and stuff
