mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif The government tends to violate Cannibal Corpse's rights for freedom of expression when they ban the covers of their cds!!! Cannibal Corpse have every right to express themselves by creating artistic drawings of horrifying images as a cover for their cds and the fans have the right to purchase them without having a government official ban them!!!!! Well here is an idea on how banned covers for cds can be sold in public stores. How about having the cds with the banned cover wrapped in white paper(instead of a transparent plastic wrapper)and included on the white wrapper would be the title of the band as well as the title of the c.d.And also the white wrapper will specify that it is temporarily censoring the cd cover but once the cd is purchased, you will be able to open the cd and throw away the white wrapper. Any other ideas? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Kind of like my copy of 'Gore Obsessed'. It came in a cardboard sleeve that covers up the zombies on the cover...

Beleave it or not,I mentioned my above idea of having a white wrapper on a banned cover without knowing that Gore Obsessed was sold with a sleeve covering the zombies.(Im still awaiting the Gore Obsessed cd to arrive by mail order). Are all Cannibal Corpse's cds now sold with a cardboard sleeve covering the gorey parts in public stores? Great idea!!!

I don't think all of them are. Gore Obsessed is the only one I know of that comes in a sleeve. I have all the CDs and its the only one that came like that. Some CDs have a censored version with a different cover, but I don't know where to get them.

yeah, some cd's have a piece of paper explaing the explicit content blah blah, like disgorge forensick, the store put the cover on, but anyway, chill the fuck out man

<!--emo&;)-->wink.gif wink.gif wink.gif Great man. When I buy a Cannibal Corpse cd,I dont want the censored version cover,I want the original sick fock version.I hope all the gorey covers are sold with this black sheet of paper(with a warning)thus giving me a right to purchase it.(although to tell you the truth,I would rather have both versions of the c.d. covers...the uncensored version and the censored version). Can they sell both covers in one c.d. case?

Somewhere in the Discussions we talked about this before, and I might have this wrong but this is how I remember it:

Only the "The Bleeding", "Vile", "Bloodthirst", and "Gallery Of Suicide" come in censored versions. The lyrics as well as the cover art are censored. I think. I might not be right about this, but I seem to remember vidix answer that question here before.

Oh and by the way... "Butchered at Birth" was sold wrapped in Bloody Butcher paper, or so I've heard. I'd love to have one of those.

my bloodthirst came with both covers
Mutilated1
What do you mean by 'both' covers ?
cannibalism
it came with the gory cd cover thing but there was a black thing of paper over it saying bloodthirst
Mutilated1
Oh, ok I see. So which one of these covers did it have.. I mean the regular CD cover.

The black sheet of paper is not a cover. The censored cover for Bloodthirst shows a fat zombie sitting down, whereas the uncensored cover shows a zombie holding someone's arm and lifting a head. They should sell the censored and uncensored covers in one cd case for a little extra money. Both cd covers should be included inside the cd case, but with the censored version in the front, where purchasers can see it and the gorey cover should be inside where no one will see it until they buy it and open the cd.If both covers(which include booklets)do not fit inside the case, then the gorey cover can be included outside of the cd case in plastic wrap. And a sticker on the front should specify that the cd contains both versions of the cover.(although you could order the gorey covers from Metal Blade).

ive bought that album from my friend [uncensored ver] so i dont know if it had any censored papers etc.

Yeah it's weird i dont get it at all man it's just a cover wrap it in black plastic if you dont want to risk offending someone that's what Circut City did with the first Superjoint Ritual record.
