I've always wondered why he adjusted his vocal style between TOTM and TB......


maybe he busted his voice with shows or the band didn't like it or maybe they decided it was just impossible to decipher what he was saying without lyrics.........go figure!

Remember...this was around the time when Barnes was beginning to dabble with that slower "groovier" music method (which sounded awesome on The Bleeding but would then transform into the colossal gheyness known as SFU)... and to go with this new style...he needed a new vocal approach.

Don't get me wrong...the vocals on The Bleeding were killer.... but everything after that...was ghey.

I have to agree as well....SFU was good for a while. And even their later stuff isn't unlistenable (well, most of it), just really damned goofy. SFU is not the problem so much as their....well....singer.

Oh, and the vocals on this particular video did NOT sound as deep as the TOTM growls: just check out the Moscow show to see what I mean. He very much has that Bleeding style going on here vocally.
