Full Version: Barnes live at Moscow!
The Tomb > Beyond The Cemetery > Cannibal Corpse News > Cannibal Corpse - 15 Year Killing Spree
Vaginal Blood Fart
I just got 15 YKS the other day and have watched the Moscow vid a few times and I love the Barnes' performance so fucking much! The off-time headbanging movments, the freaky/weirdo persona, great crowd interaction and a awesome live vocal dilivery. Barnes had it down! And how fucking cool is "HATITI ASURE!?"
"HATITI ASURE!?" and "I'm gonna drink this apple juice and take a shit." laugh.gif Fucking great!

The footage of them goofing around Moscow is funny too. Like when Alex is pointing at Garbagoff's head saying "Looks like Chris' head!" Haha! CC were/are really cool dudes, the kinda dudes that I would like to hang out with!

Fuck...he gave away two sets of drumsticks in the Moscow show...why can't I have his glasses? crybaby.gif
Vampiria
well, you could ask vidix if he still has the glasses at home and maybe he will send you the glasses tongue.gif
Aaron
Yeah the whole part where he goes something like "hey moscow i didnt think we would ever be doing this but you know what it's all about it's all about freedom to listin to this death metal" (or something like that) also it's rather funny to see Jack Owen with Hair and paul runing around with a mike like some kind of juniour reporter was prety funny too. laugh.gif

Yeah, I miss his voice with Corpse. Don't get me wrong Corpsegrinder fucking owns, but Barnes was a great!
Mutilated1
Yes he was. That Moscow show impressed me a bunch. Barnes was a good vocalist and he had charisma.
Demonic Reign
Yeah he did. I mean, I do have to mention a downfall of Corpsegrinder, Barnes always tried to blend into the band, he tried his hardest not to stick out, Corpsegrinder tries to hog the spotlight sometimes, at least that's what I've noticed from the 4th show on the 15 year killing spree DVD, at also what I have seen from shows that I have gotten off the net.

Corpse will always be one of the greatest death metal bands, long after they've said goodbye, but they will never have the same energy that they had with Barnes.
Death Rizm
hell yeah! Im watching it right now, "I Cum Blood" is playing right now, and it kicks so much ass. This is the reason why I like Barnes so much, loud, low vocals, great songwritter (even in SFU), and he plays the concert with a broken arm.
My friend idols him and can even sing like him.

A buddy of mine just got his hands on a copy of 15 Yr. Killing Spree! devil.gif I can't wait to check out the Moscow show and the rest of it!!! Chris Barnes is the fucking MAN! HailSatan.gif
Skull Bowl
Chris Barnes' performance on that show is so damn good.
ThyFleshConsumed
Hell yes. I would've gladly shelled out the $50 for the DVD alone. Chris is a fucking death metal engine. He's the reason why I got into doing death metal vocals.

I definitley agree! The dvd is the highlight of the boxset imo! That and the demos on cd 3 are the two best things about it.
VILE
im goin to go get 15 year killin spree very soon. a local record store has a copy for me smile.gif now i just need to get the money.

CHRIS BARNES FUCKING KICKS ASS!!
Skull Bowl
Yes he does he is the fucking shit. Shelling out the $50 was hard for me to do but now I am so damn happy that I did it. It is probably one of the best things that I own, period. The DVD has such kick ass footage, let alone the CDs and the other bad ass bonus stuff. Ha ha ha $6.66 comic book laugh.gif

Hell Ya! I agree with ya Skull! (Do ya mind if I call you that? Easier to type!) 15 Yr. Killing Spree is EASILY one of the best things in my collection! The dvd hasn't left my player since I bought it a few months ago! The first two cd's are great if you're taking a long drive, and wanna hear a mix of CC! I've been looking for a copy of my own of The '89 demo and The Created To Kill sessions on disc 3 (A buddy of mine has Created, so I'd heard it before) for years! The fact that they included it plus CC's first ever show (on the dvd), blew my mind! The Butchered At Birth sessions that they included were also GREAT! It was especially a treat to watch Alex lay down his bass parts for Innards Decay! Vile, ya got to get it buddy! It's worth every last penny! The whole thing rules, but I think you're going to LOVE the Moscow show (if you haven't already seen it)! The bass and drum sound quality may not be the best but, overall it's an INCREDIBLE performance! It blows my mind that Chris had a broken arm! You'd never know by the KILLER performance he gives, vocally and otherwise!! The knife stabs with the mic, off and on time headbanging... I don't wanna spoil too much if ya haven't seen it. All I can say is HATITI ASURE!! HATITI ASURE!!! That part is cool as fuck!!! Imo you should get it as soon as you can dude!
Souless
im still tryen to hunt that down to download.no such luck yet.......how bout a lil rip action? lol

i soooo have longed to see that shit...i dream about it.lmao

Dude, you are gonna shit at how awesome Chris is in the Moscow show! His vocals are so fucking AMAZING, and the band is INTENSE AS FUCK!!! Another thing that's cool about the dvd, is you literally get to see the band progress. Obviously by the time of the Moscow show, Chris is at the peak of his powers! Jack and Rob fucking SLAY on the guitars, and it's a crying shame that the bass and drum sound meshed! Paul especially gives a hell of an effort, playing on a set of totally inferior drums! I don't wanna give too much away, but he mentions a few times how the drum set he got, just dosen't cut it for what he needs, basically. Alex is Alex. The best bass player in metal! Like I said it's a shame that you can't hear him as well as usual. Dude, I wish I could help you out but, I ain't got a clue how to rip dvd's and all that! Plus don't you need a dvd rip program or something? Good luck finding it! If you think I could help you PM me dude.
ThyFleshConsumed
I was watching the Moscow DVD last night for the 4525376704 time. Who is Alex referring too when he says "So how's that dishwashing job Joe?"

laugh.gif That line cracks me up! It's probably some asshole from a band in Buffalo who talked shit about CC. Could just be an expression though, refering to all the people who talked shit about them back then. I don't really know for sure. Good question!
Skull Bowl
Yes that was really funny..... and I am sure people did talk shit about him because here in Buffalo, a lot of people are ASSHOLES when it comes to music. At least they got a little revenge there. I also love the scenes after the Moscow show when all of them get to the room and get bags of peanuts and stuff. Ha ha Barnes talking about taking a shit was nice too.
ThyFleshConsumed
I'm surprised that the band wasn't treated to a fucking banquet. All they got for playing an awesome show were peanuts and apple juice, wtf?

That part where Chris says he's gonna drink some apple juice and take a shit was hilarious! ThyFleshConsumed, maybe they got a meal later on? I doubt it though, because when they're eating earlier in the movie, I'm pretty sure someone says that is all they're gonna get to eat.
Skull Bowl
laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif That is hilarious. I feel bad for them but they didn't care at all.
unsw1tchd
i think the funniest shit on that show was the way Paul belched after he said "do a pair in my sneakers" not to mention whatever the hell Barnes was whispering during "Meathook Sodomy"
