In the 15YKS studio footage, it appears as though Bob is using a black Gibson V. I wonder if its an Epiphone or a real Gibson.

Hey, James Hetfeild and Kirk Hammett both played a Epiphone V in the early years. Hetfeilds was glued together a few times I read in an interveiw!

There is a fine line between peice of shit and best guitar in the world, IMO. 
Would a pecice of shit be able to endure rowdy drunken tours, and still be playable afer being glued together twice? I say Epiphone are great guitars.

Bob Rusay was an excellent guitarist. He helped record some of the band's best songs ("Born in a Casket," "Covered with Sores," "Gutted," and "I Cum Blood.") The rumors about him not playing guitar on any albums are all fake: ""On Eaten, Bob and Jack each played all of their own rhythm guitar tracks, as far as I remember. On Butchered, Bob did some rhythm playing but Jack did a bit more. It was maybe 60% Jack, 40% Bob on that one. By the time we went in to record Tomb, it had become clear that Jack was the stronger rhythm player of the two, so after some discussion with Scott Burns we decided to have Jack play all of the rhythms on that album. This was not intended to insult Bob of course, it's a common practice for metal bands to choose one guitarist of a guitar team to do all of the rhythms to make the album sound tighter." And looking at videos of live performances from when Bob was in Cannibal Corpse, it appears that he had no problem playing any of the songs"- Alex Webster. He quit CC to pursue a career outside of music. Case closed.
