You can imagine, I'm pretty stoked about getting it.

yeah I was going to buy it for him for christmas and he up and buys it himself....it's hard to shop for him because everything he wants he goes and buys it for himself before i have the chance to go get it for him

Did it come in a digipak.... or is that just the 1991 original (non-remastered edition). Kinda looks like a digipak in the pic there but correct me if I'm wrong

I am on the hunt for an original non remastered uncensored copy of BAB.... since I only had a censored original copy which is pretty worn out now so I need a new uncensored one and fast lol.

to the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a truly "censored" copy

the version that is marked and marketed as the "censored version" ( http://www.tombofthemutilated.net/DeathMet...usic/B000001CAJ ) has the "uncensored" artwork inside, and the music and lyrics are uncensored. I believe that the "censored version" is just a marketing gimmick by metal blade to accomplish 2 things - 1. Get the CD into more retailers, and 2. Make the CD more desirable ( its so graphic it had to be censored! ) As far as I know, the lyrics are included inside, so the only thing thats "censored" is the cover is covered up. ( Kind of like the 'butcher paper' version in a way, except it has the word 'censored' on it ) In reality, nothing is censored.

there are also copies that have the PMRC warning label on it, but the music and artwork and lyrics are the same

Might as well just get the enhanced remaster with "Covered With Sores" ( LIVE - featuring Corpsegrinder ) on bonus Audio Track with Quicktime Video.

That version doesn't have the "censored" cover sleeve if that bothers you, allthough the music is the same.

we haven't gotten it yet but it has been shipped so we'll let you know as soon as we get it

i got the butchered disk in 94 - and it had a white cover , no lyrics , no artwork .

It had an addresse inside you could write to to get the " uncensored " cover-art

and lyrics.

Yeah... that's the damn version I had since I couldn't find an uncensored copy of BAB. I want an uncensored copy lol.

By the way M1.... do all of the uncensored 1991 (non remastered) BAB copies come in the "butcher paper" or is your copy special. I'm just wondering.

im guessing this was probably the first press of this cd. and MB decided to wrap the cover in this fashion to avoid censorship...

From what I understand, some of the first one's came in Bloody Butcher Paper - kind of like some of the first copys of KILL came with a poster. But I don't really know the answer.

this is the one i have , and as far as i know . These were the copies that came out back then , the paper rapping i think is new ...... kinda like slayer putting out the
reign in blood disk in a bloody cover ...

The Butcher's paper sleeve has nothing to do with censoring or not .. its an added
feature/ gimick for the c.d. ........ its cool though , im not saying its not .

Oh by the way - I forgot to mention the other day - it arrived at my house and I finally got my hands on it. Its in perfect shape.

The inside cover has different liner notes than on the remastered version.
