Chris Barnes On The Nightly News With Tom Brokaw |

It was mentioned on "Every Ban Broken" off Centuries of Torment that after Bob Dole's little complaint about Cannibal Corpse that Chris Barnes was on The Nightly News with Tom Brokaw talking about censorship. But where is the video of it? Could SOMEONE find it and post a link for it? That would be SO COOL if ANYONE could find it! Any other additional news stories, articles or videos about that censorship controversy whould be cool too. Peace. |

Anybody have any? What do they sound like? After the second album do they only have the censored covers? I haven't seen any uncensored covers besides the first and second albums. I would like to get into collecting them on vinyl but they are hard to find. |

New Album Title And Tracklisting |

Tampa, Florida-based death metal veterans CANNIBAL CORPSE have set "Evisceration Plague" as the title of their new album due on February 3, 2009 via Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2006's "Kill" was produced by Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL) at his Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Commented bassist Alex Webster: "In CANNIBAL CORPSE, our goal has always been to try and make each new album we record our heaviest. That goal was a bit more challenging this time since we were extremely satisfied with our last album 'Kill', but we knew that by working with producer Erik Rutan at Mana Recording Studios again, we would be able to start at that same level of heaviness and take it even further. Now that we can hear the finished product, I would say we've been able to achieve this goal, and I think our fans will agree. 'Evisceration Plague' has the best guitar sound we've ever recorded, and the entire band has never played with more precision and power. We can't wait until you all get a chance to hear the album in early 2009, because we think you'll be as happy with it as we are."
"Evisceration Plague" track listing:
01. Priests of Sodom 02. Scalding Hail 03. To Decompose 04. A Cauldron of Hate 05. Beheading and Burning 06. Evidence in the Furnace 07. Carnivorous Swarm 08. Evisceration Plague 09. Shatter Their Bones 10. Carrion Sculpted Entity 11. Unnatural 12. Skewered From Ear to Eye |

Rare Old Cannibal Corpse Shirt |

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this Cannibal Corpse shirt that I finally came across and bought. The only time I've seen this shirt, except for when I bought it, was when Chris Barnes wore it on the show that they recorded in Moscow 1993.

Hello everyone, Alex from Cannibal Corpse here checking in again from Mana Studios in St. Petersburg Florida. The last time you heard from us Paul had just finished the drum tracking, and we've made a lot of progress since then. Here's a brief rundown:
The rhythm guitar recording was the next part of the session. We spent a lot of time on it, both on attaining a crushing sound, and also on achieving airtight performances. The tracking was a lot of hard work for Pat and Rob, but the end result was well worth the effort. They did an amazing job and I think you'll all be impressed with the results.
Next up was the bass tracking, and again we worked hard to get a great sound and great performances. Producer Erik Rutan oversaw the tracking and made sure he got the best performance I was capable of, just as he did with Rob and Pat on the rhythm guitar. I can say for sure that the bass and rhythm guitar have never been tighter on any Cannibal Corpse album.
Currently, George is working on tracking the vocals, and he is a little over halfway done. He's had a few parts to sing that were unbelievably fast, but so far he's been more than up to the task. His voice is sounding brutal and holding up well, so we should be done tracking the vocals in the next few days. Pat has already started working on guitar solos as well, but the majority of the solos will be recorded after the vocals are complete.
So, that's about it for now. We are all extremely excited with how this album is shaping up. We wanted to make an ultra heavy and precise album, and so far that's the way it's been going. Next up is the mix, and we're confident Erik will make this the heaviest sounding Cannibal Corpse album yet. Check back for a final update when the mix is complete.
