Full Version: Cc-songs Inspired By Other Bands?

When "Kill" came out CC said that "Make Them Suffer" was inspired by POSSESSED. Sometimes when I listen to other songs by CC I hear riffs, ideas and arrangements that seem inspired by other bands.

For example, the opening riffs and the arrangement of "Ecstacy in Decay" sounds, to me, like they have listened quite a lot to EMPEROR around "In the Nightside Eclipse". Likewise, "Gutted" sounds very much inspired by SLAYER, especially "Reign In Blood"-era. Like they wanted to try to write a song that would fit on "Reign In Blood".

I'm not talking about plagiarism here, just inspiration.

Has anyone else here noticed anything similar?

I remembered one more..."Hung and Bled" reminds me of MORBID ANGEL around "Blessed are the sick".

Pick axe murder reminds me of 'no remorse' at the high end rifts.

Yeah, I hear what you mean.

And also, knowing how much they liked SEPULTURA's "Beneath the Remains" and what songs they wrote right before going down to Florida to record "Eaten Back To Life"...I think I can hear something SEPULTURA-esque about "Edible Autopsy", am I right?

And yah know how necropedophile sorta has a old slayer style to it.
Also the similarities to bands that went out before them are also there man like--
some vile tracks sound like new metallica believe it or not frantic lol.
And even some of cc's songs sound like them selves..for example:
The day the dead walked by SFU sounds like unleashing the bloodthirsty.

well, it does have a similarity to it all, However, I don't think Make Them Suffer sounds like Possessed, maybe something like Gorguts, but that's just me.
Rotting Decrepit Corpse
Obviously headless , as melodic as it is . With the amazing iron maidenish harmonies - is influenced by the mighty maiden . You can totally hear it in that song - clear as day .

I love that song as well .

Some of the older stuff sounds similar to old gorguts.
