Full Version: Chinas Underage Gymnasts Part 2
The Tomb > Vile Pleasures > The Pit Of Zombies
Souless
A new chapter in the ongoing controversy surrounding China's women's gymnastics team opened today, as search engine hacker stryde.hax found surviving copies of official registration documents issued by China's General Administration of Sport of China. The incriminating documents, expunged by censors from the official site and from Google's document cache, still appear in the document translation cache of Chinese search giant Baidu, here (1) and here (2), showing the age of one of China's gold medal winning gymnasts to be 14 instead of 16, the minimum age for competition presented on her government-issued passport. Now that official government documentation is available, how long will the IOC be able to keep a lid on this scandal?"

It's shameful they should have to give up their medals...but watch no one's going to do anything about it I would be willing to bet on it

shocking update!!!!!!

The International Olympic Committee has ordered an investigation into mounting allegations that Chinese authorities covered up the true age of their gold-medal winning gymnastics star because she was too young to compete.

An IOC official told The Times that because of "discrepancies" that have come to light about the age of He Kexin, the host nation's darling who won gold in both team and individual events, an official inquiry has been launched that could result in the gymnast being stripped of her medals.

The investigation was triggered as a US computer expert claimed today to have uncovered Chinese government documents that he says prove she is only 14 - making her ineligible to compete in the Olympics - rather than 16, as officials in Beijing insist is her age.

SHUT UP AND DIE
JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!!!!!!

good I don't mean to sound like a big meanie or anything but since she didn't play by the rules her medals should be stripped....it's just too bad we can't go back and get our girls the gold
Souless
well the IOC already finished their supposed investigation and said they cant inuslt the host country or some dumb bullshit and have to accept chinas word that the kids documents are legit...despite evidence that says other wise..

i wonder if in like 10 yrs or something if her real age comes out if they can strip her medals.

oh well atleast now they are not just gold medals she has, they are tainted gold ohmy.gif)

I figured they would pull some bullshit about not wanting to insult China.....load of crap is what it is
Devourer_Of_Vaginal_Skin
IMO China should not only have to give up their medals but they should be ineligable for these next few Olympic games. Maybe not being able to compete for a few years (a decade or so) will make them play by the rules in the future.

They did the crime...they should do the time. Simple as that.

Souless
if anything it just sets the rules for future host countries..
Mutilated1
Its not that they don't want to insult China, its that they want to leave China when the olympics are over - communist dictatorship and all - woulnd't want to end up in the gulag for re-education over some silly gymnastic events
Souless
or better yet, supposedly accidently stabbed and killed while out and about..what a shame china would say..lol
