I Cum Blood..
Ive been doing death metal vocals for awhile now, trying diffrent techniques, and diffrent styles, I first started out by singing lamb of God, i sung that for awhile, But i stopped because it made my throat hurt i could bearly talk, I was just about to give up, but i tried some lyrics more like cannibal corpse, I use my diaphram now more than my throat, I have trouble getting that sound like george does, Does any body have any suggestions on how i can sound like corpse grinder, I have a realitively deep voice, i dont know if that has any thing to do with it, Please help me.

PS. Lamb of Dog Is Not Death Metal...Its Metalcore...Their Vocals Are Not Growling Nor Grunting They're Low Pitched Burps...

I'm about 18, and have been trying at it for some time now. Frank Mullen and Martin Van Drunen are some of my favs.

don't ever use your throat! thats the wrong way. use your gut and push it out lol. like shitting out of your mouth

sometimes you can't get the different voices of other people. i used to be able to do corpsegrinder but i lost his... im doin chris barnes (ToTM era) and disgorge.

just takes practice.

I can do a decent, mid level growl. kinda like Johan from Amon Amarth... but I use my throat all the time and thats no fun.

i use screams and growls. my scream is like Tomas Lindberg from At The Gates and Nightrage, but closer to when he was with Nightrage. my growl is kinda like Corpsegrinders, but when i get good and warmed up I can get lower like Barnes on Tomb. It just takes practice, dont let your throat get try so always keep water with you. And dont really scream lol then youll just pass out from lack of oxygen lol use your diaphragm and push the air out. To get the sound of the scream or growl...its hard to discribe how I do it lol I kinda close my throat a little...umm...whisper and try to make gargle noises, then try to talk while you "gargle" lol after you get an idea of how to do it, just keep practicing. Im not sure if any of that made any sense, but I hope it helps a little. If not, then discard all of this lol

when you used high pitched screams make sure your inhaling it gives you a more shrill sound... deep vox are as you can imagine completely oppisite.

I read somewhere you should never close your throat and that you should use your tongue to change pitch. I hear alot of retards gurgling when people try to imitate it. I've never heard a real death metal singer gurgle or grind their throat laugh.gif

To sound like corpsegrinder, the only advice I can give you that I'll bet no one else has tried, is, in order to sound as vicious as he does, I can only say, to imagine you're finally stepping up to someone that pisses you off, and let all the anger go to your voice, and that should help with the ferocity of your voice.

who would do that ...ever? ermm.gif
