lol yeah i cook those, but those are an easy meal...cooking for 6 is not my idea of fun to say the least. I cant wait for the day that the boys grow up and move out so I can finally stop cooking every night.

You haven't taught them how to cook for themselves yet? That's the easiest way to avoid having to do it for them, I would think. Shit, I started cooking my own shit at age 8 or 9 or so. I think the first thing I could "make" was cinnamon toast, eggs, and bacon.

I had one of those KFC mashed potato bowls for teh 1st time. And no I do NOT recommend them.

Considering how 99% of the time I LOVE mashed taters n gravy, cheese, corn, and KFC chicken, I was suprised by how nasty it was.

Ah well...the large KFC potato salad I ate afterwards made my tummy smile.

Still...food can be decieving. There's stuff out there that looks or theoretically sounds disgusting as fuck...but when you eat it it's actually DELICIOUS.

tonight I'm making spaghetti

This sounds good:

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons oil
1/2 pound smoked sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices
3/4 to 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut in bite-size pieces
1 1/2 to 2 cups frozen cut okra
1 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 cup frozen medium shrimp, cleaned and cooked
1 1/2 cups uncooked regular long-grain white rice
3 cups chicken broth or water (updated 9/07)


Preparation:
In small saucepan, combine flour and oil; mix well. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, stirring constantly, about 8 to 12 minutes or until mixture turns a light red-brown. Place flour and oil mixture in 3 1/2 to 4-quart crockpot. Stir in all remaining ingredients except shrimp, rice, and broth or water. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. Add cooked shrimp to the gumbo; mix well. Cover and continue to cook on LOW for 20 minutes longer. Meanwhile, cook rice in the broth or water according to package directions. Serve gumbo over the hot cooked rice.

Anywho I think I'm gonna cook a frozen pizza.

4 flour tortillas layered with taco meat and mexican cheese blend ending with the taco beef on top and then you put nacho cheese over the top....you can also put black beans in the layers if you want to. serve with tomatoes sour cream and lettuce

oh yeah brown and season ground beef first then layer and pop in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes

that does sound good....except for the black beans. I know how you guys like them so much, so it's not a surprise they're on there. I'd replace it with refrieds, and I think I'm gonna give your taco casserole thingie a try here soon.
