Guide To Chatroom Use
As you might know, tombofthemutilated.net has a chat room. This is where you will often find the forum members hanging out and shooting the breeze. If you didn't know this, look up at the top of the page and click the link labeled "Corpse Chat".
This guide is intended to help you with the more common questions about the chat room and tell you some advanced things you might find fun to play with.
First of all, the Chat room is a Java chat, so you will need Java installed in your browser in order to make it work. Here are some links where you can get the Java plugin if you don't already have it.

Should you find the chatroom empty and need someone to chat with, try bumping this topic ( http://www.tombofthemutilated.net/show.php.../showtopic/1832 ) and posting "Come Chat" -- usually someone will come join you.
If you want to schedule a regular chat or a chat at a specific time, feel free to use the calendar, so that people can plan to join you on a certain date or time. If you schedule a chat, make sure you show up! Otherwise its considered rude.
Finally please remember that sarcasm does not always go over so well in the chatroom, there is a lot of communication that gets left out when we don't see others body language and facial expressions. Its hard for others to know when you are teasing or kidding, so make an extra effort not to offend. At the same time, remember that people are most likely just joking with you, so don't wear your heart on your sleeves and get all offended. Remember we are all there to have fun.
Now for some fun tricks
If you are logged in to the forum you will automatically join the chat with your login name. But you can change your login name at will. Just type /n NewName and
If you're in the chatroom and you'd like to "whisper" to someone else where the entire room doesn't read it, just double click their screen name in the box on the right.
If the room gets crowded, you can create another room. Type /create RoomName
If you want a private room, you can add a password everyone else will need to join. Type /create RoomName Password.
You can change rooms with the dropdown, or type /join RoomName
If its a password protected room you want to join, then whisper for the password and type /join RoomName Password and then your in!
of course you can play with the emoticons and audio emotes, just right click in the blue area where you type. Once you learn the codes for them you can just type them if that is easier
