Lets have a Cannibal Corpse contest !

We've been wanting to have a Cannibal Corpse contest for a long time, and we've always planned that whatever money we make selling CDs, Posters, and T-Shirts on the site above and beyond the cost of running the site and paying for the hosting that we would give back to the members in the form of prizes and Cannibal Corpse goodies!

Well we've made enought CD and poster commissions that we can now afford to give away a few really neat Cannibal Corpse prizes, but rather than just drawing names from a hat, I thought maybe we could have a contest that makes the forum better at the same time.

Before I announce what the first prize will be, lets see what kind of forum contests everyone thinks would be good and fun to do.

If you have a suggestion for a contest that you think should be added to the poll, let me know and we can add it for you.

We will have a great contest and give away some really cool Cannibal Corpse stuff that any fan would be happy with.

i voted for fan art......obviously......lol..........think it would be cool to get peeps really into grfx in whatever form.and crank up sum creativity in the minds and see what spews out here for the masses..



one other idea tho.would be the show how much of a fan u are contest....take a pic of urself with CC in marker wrote on ur face or sumten silly like that or showing ur mass cannibal collection of whatever...nothing to gross or dangerous or truly sickining.......(gaz no u cant spell out i love cannibal in poop and xpect to win.lol ) haaaa.........


and another would be the write a cannibalish type song....and best one wins whatever...........which raises the other question.who all judges and shit in this ? and who is and isnt eligible to win.

I don't know I haven't thought about that yet. I guess I will be the final judge, but we might let the members vote or something depending on what kind of contest we choose. I will be the deciding judge since I am purchasing the prizes, and I guess anyone can win except for the Admins, and I guess we will probably let the mods have a chance at winning too.

The article is the best idea, I made one and gave it to Mutilated1, but either he didn't get it or it really sucked cause it was originally for my english class.

No I got it, and it didn't suck, I just hadn't figured out if I could make an article out of it or not yet. Cause the article you wrote is kind of about overcoming obstacles in life, we are still probably going to use it we just have to figure out how. If you want to post the article in the forum you're welcome to.

Yeah, it was for a school project about someone who had to overcome obstacles. Maybe it can be for this contest. If it will be an article contest, doesn't look like it will be so far. At least I can draw good.

the only thing im good at is posting alot, so if it turns out to be anything other than that well than i lose!

i like the essay one, because you have to give it alot of thought, and it would be intersting to read everybody's essay's and see thier diffrent views!

Yeah, I like the essay too. It would be really easy to make an essay on why CC is the best band ever and why death metal is the best music ever.

yeah i think we would defiantly have sum kinda restriction or requirement on the post whoring option.........lol.....not just one word replys or emotes...lol...if u can post like a rabid whore and actually still have content ...that might work as well...lol.... aint this the pot calling the kettle black~~~ ahaa

or how about this...everyone can make their own personal tribute to Cannibal Corpse,so that way whoever is good at art can submit a drawing,etc,folks that want to make an essay can do that and if peeps feel like doing some vocal stuff then that's all good too,and then maybe judge the best "tribute"....

Hey. You should do something similar to the radio contests. KCAL.FM (So. Calif.)
Has a contest where the biggest public advertisment that the average joe, (average corpse.) can display without commiting a crime, or causing harm to themselves, or another human being. ( granted that doesn't really capture the whole essence of the music we're trying to promote.) Laws are laws!

I think if you were to have a contest where everyone on the site tried to create the most attentive & noticable advertisment for Cannibal Corpse, ( nation wide mind you,) & have them take pictures of the persons creativity, size, & exposure, of the ad for,( the website, or the band itself,) you could create a panel of judges to vote for the best one, & reward them w/ the prize for over all best display of the cc name, (or web address,). Hell you could even post the pictures & have a poll if you liked. Personally I think a poll could take awhile to complete. Depending on a deadline, & how many poeple actually loged on & voted Before the deadline was over. I would go w/ a panel of judges.

Well vidix is on vacation I think, and something like Alex was going on vacation soon too or something like that, so there is a limited window of opportunity for the prizes to be autographed -- but anyway we should have the prizes back soon. And yes, since I guess I just gave that part of the surprise away, the prizes will be autographed by Cannibal Corpse. You read that right actual genuine Cannibal Corpse merchandise personally signed by the lords of death metal themselves!

But I gave away too much of the surprise already. You'll know more later. I will post and let you know the details as soon as the prizes are shipped back to me.

Just rememeber, not everybody has a web cam or a super fast computer that can send their modifided song remakes or make cool graphics.... and not everybody has access to cool corspe stuff to post on the board, so it has to be a contest that everyone can take part in not just the priviledged In other words ithas to be fair to the masses.
