DEICIDE Joined By Former CANNIBAL CORPSE Guitarist For European Tour - Oct. 28, 2004
On the eve of their forthcoming European tour, DEICIDE have been forced to rearrange the first three dates whilst last minute stand-in Jack Owen (formerly of CANNIBAL CORPSE) gets up to speed with the formidable DEICIDE back catalogue in order to fill in on live guitar duties. Showing true death metal solidarity, Jack has stepped up to the plate to cover for long term guitarist Brian Hoffman who is unable to play on the tour for unavoidable personal reasons. DEICIDE's first European show featuring Jack is now at Havana in Toulouse on Tuesday, November 2.
Fans need not be disappointed, because the three affected shows, in Hassalt, Haarlem and Paris, have all been rescheduled for the end of the tour, which will now take shape as follows. Original tickets are of course valid for the rescheduled dates.
That would be awesome to see...

HOLY GODDAMNED FUCKIN' SHIT!!!!!!!
OK, I'VE NOTICED SOME SORT OF STRANGE RULE WITH JACK. FOR SOME REASON, HE MAY NOT BE REPLACED, NOR MAY HE REPLACE, ANYONE WHO HAS HAIR. THEY MUST ALL BE BALD. THIS IS SOME SORT OF WIERD ALIEN PHENOMENON.......
DUDE, THIS IS REALLY WILD......I WONDER WHAT BRIAN'S PROBLEM'S WERE? AND IF IT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH WHY HE LOOKED SO UNHAPPY AT THEIR SHOW IN SAN ANTONIO.

Its definitely true, I asked Jack if this was true... QUOTE ("Jack Owen"+) Yes! We leave Monday. They need a guitarist, and I need cash...Luckily, it doesn't slow down Adrift. Our number one priority is mixing the album we just recorded. So that can be done while I'm in Europe. I think we're gonna play most of the first Deicide album, since that one is already stuck in my head, and it is somewhat easier to learn than the newer stuff... <br>

if he needed money why didnt he just stay in Cannibal Corpse?

staying in CC would mean to write some song he doesn't believe in, to force himself to compose new stuff... it would be lying to the fans... here it's just playing with a band you like just for a while... it's really different to be in a band and to play for some show only...
concerning the rescheduled dates... do you think it would be with Jack? do you know how long Brian will stay out of Deicide?

Cool shit! Although being in Canada I think its safe to say that I won't be having the pleasure of seeing this tour. Deicide never comes up here, ever. At least never that I've heard of... Cannibal Corpse came over to the island here a few months ago though...
