MAN BITES OFF OWN TONGUE

May 14, 2006 -- A Brooklyn man with a long history of bloody encounters with the police barricaded his family in its apartment early yesterday - then bit off his tongue and spat it at cops and EMTs as they struggled to take him into custody, a police source said.

Kaijuan Corbett, 27, of Argyle Road, locked his family in its Alabama Avenue apartment in East New York at 12:45 a.m., police said. Authorities responded to a 911 call that said an emotionally disturbed person was inside the house.

Cops and paramedics, thinking that they had talked the raving Corbett into standing down, were wheeling him out of the building on a gurney when the troubled man shocked them by biting off his tongue and spitting it in their direction, the source said.

Corbett had already developed a reputation for staging bloody confrontations with cops that often ended with his chopping away at and cutting himself.

In 2003, he went so far as to stab himself in the left part of his chest, whack off his left ear and try to remove a piece of his scalp, sources said.

The following year, witnesses said, he rammed his head into a wall.

Yesterday, he was taken to Brookdale Hospital for medical attention and psychiatric evaluation.

Since he's done this before - imagine the tax payer dollars that could be saved by allowing this idiot to off himself instead of trying to save him. They're gonna take him to the psych hospital at god knows what expense to the public only to have another repeat in a month or a year.

As long as the fuckers not hurting anyone else, what business is it of the public what kind of mess he makes of his own life ? If he wants to end it - let him.
