I voted sometimes. WTC is ok, although nothing super spectacular. Other bands that use the piq squeal style.....it's ok if it's not CONSTANT throughout a verse or song. Despised Icon is a good example of that....and Gorerotted.

I vote sometimes.... as pig squealing in Death metal CAN get annoying at times.

Barnes was able to pull off some pretty sick squeals on the TOTM album. Those would have to be my favourite.

All pig squealing would make me want to hurt someone. Sometimes is cool. TotM and The Bleeding did it well.

Im kinda lost as well , barnes NEVER sounded like that ....... the screams in HAMMER , fucked with a knife , and pick axe were fucking sick.................

i think pig squealing evolved from those high squeaky sceams on totm and the bleeding etc, but those are outward screams, not inward. Other bands like necrophagist had a tone like this too, anyone else agree??

Once again, bands like Gorerotted and Despised Icon do it great....CC never did it, ever. Job For A Cowboy and All Shall Perish do it a little from time to time as well.

Ok: BRODEQUIN is a perfect example of a band who did that shit constantly, as did Bodies In The Gears Of The Apparatus

i never said they did it, but it does sound a bit like it and thats could be how the idea of vocal squeals came from

I apologize for my stupidity Joey....I always considered the screams that Barnes executed at the end of HSF, during I Cum Blood, and on Fucked With A Knife to be SOMEWHAT pig-squealish. But I guess I was wrong. Ah well...we all make mistakes.

I can't agree, honestly....a scream like that is more akin to black metal style screaming than to the pig squeals. Of course, now Barnes' high is more akin to a fucking cat having it's tail pulled..but that's neither here nor there.

There's some parts on there that sound to me like a pig squeel, more so than say PD for example ( cool song btw, IBDAT1 ) - of course SUAD you could be right cause a cat with its tail pulled is pretty descriptive too - ha ha

Sometimes. The best thing bands can do who have a vocalist(s) that does that pig squealing, should do it sparingly. Or if a vocalist is excellent at, it's cool that if he/she does it a lot.

Mike Majewski (Devourment) is the king of pig squealing, the man is the best at it. Same thing with Adam Mason of Goratory and Sexcrement. Never heard of Sect of Execration.

You know who does a really bad pig squeal? Putrid Pete (ex-Pillory). Awful, just fucking awful. He ruined the end of Glandular with a really bad pig squeal.
