Sofar CC have done alot,

they have progressed death metal into the livingrooms of more audiences then almost any other death metal band could dream of....

they have pushed the limits of speed and extrimity for their time, and even pushed the limits of Gore

BUt im just curious about what you would like to see them do in the future?

so thats the base quiestion for this thred...

Maily what i would like to see from them that they have never yet done is a Full on Zombie album, they have come close with butchered and eaten, but not each song was written about Zombies, or a form of undead.... i think alot of their best songs are the "zombie" ones, ie Monolith from Vile eisly stole my intrest of the album, as did Pit of Zombies on gore obssessed (no secret that thats my favorite of the album) even blood thrist had Coffinfeeder (another easy favorite for lyrics and riffage), sadly Wretched Spawn had no Zombie tunes.... and left me dissapointed

id like to see them return to their classic format whole albums devoted to the carnage of the undying ghouls... afterall this was their trademark...


So anyway what do you think CC has yet to do that youd like to see them do?

I'd like them to continue to be the best death metal band ever for as long as possible.

sounds like my LACK OF ZOMBIES THREAD, i agree since CHRIS left there has been a lack of zombie lyrics i would say that tomb and butchere are full zombie lyrics/music/cover so they have done a few like that. i would like at least 4 more albums a live dvd and 3 or 4 more dvds i mean i would buy all kinds of cannibal stuff.

I would like to see Cannibal Corpse headline another tour, but instead of playing clubs, I'd like to see them in an arena or large venue.

I would like to see them make a better music video. something with gore in it, would be nice.

Or naked zombie chicks. I'm not too impressed with the CC music videos. The 'Sentenced to Burn' video had the best premise, but was still kinda boring. The best would be a 'They Deserve to Die' video with Corpsegrinder strolling into random places with subtitles for their 'reasons to die' and killing them.

For instance, let's say he walks into a supermarket, trails into the administration's office, and as the guy looks up at George, a subtitle pops up that says 'James Smith - womanizes and molests underage teens.' Shortly thereafter, George beats him to death with a sledgehammer.

Another thing: CC needs to play bigger venues. The Mason Jar was packed to the gills, with more people waiting outside who couldn't get tickets. They can safely play a bigger venue and still make good revenue.

yeah i allways wondered why their videos didnt have more gore and disturbing stuff in it... i mean iv seen more disturbing stuff in a tool video...

surely by now they could aford it.... i really wish they would go all out and make a total gore bath video for something like Pit Of Zombies, i think that would be fitting

^^^ Chris and Cannibal Corpse are on bad terms right now...but i bet it would only take a couple of beers for them to be friendly again, they seem like easy going people! I thought chris left cc on good terms anyway...hmm im not so sure (wasnt he fired or something?)

anyway back to topic, i personally dont give a damn about lyrics in death metal, theyre rubbish 90% of the time anyway (i find cc's lyrics hilarious, but there are some good dm lyricisists out there like lord worm and chuck schuldiner) as long as cc dont start writing about politics (ala sfu my god amerika the brutal what a joke) then im not bothered one bit. ITS ALL ABOUT THE SHREDDING BABY!

Anthrax had a reunion with Joey Belladonna. He did a duet with John Bush, then demanded a shit pile of money so they told him to fuck off.

Twould be good to see a duet with Barnes and Fisher. Of course Fisher would out-shout Barnes off stage but it'd be cool to see.

For one, they should play Force Fed Broken Glass next time they play. And Born in a Casket would be bad ass. As far as multi platinum goes, they would probably be cast aside as sellouts if one of their albums sold that well. I would also like to see them throw a little theatrics and gore into their live shows. A little blood and guts can go a long way.

Force fed broken glass is boring though. Everyone would head to the bar if they played that.

As for them being labelled "sellouts", whoever would say that can go fuck themselves, I aswell as everyone here know that cannibal corpse will kick ass no matter how many albums they sell. I think it would be ultra badass for them to sell millions, a big "fuck you" to other multi platinum artists.
