the guitar riffs are thrashy as hell, drummer rocks, singer gets on my nerves sometimes but he adds a real punky sound to em and thats cool

hey man, if you like Vio, you should get the EN reissue. it has a live album from a 2004 show, and it sounds fuckin killer. you wont be dissapointed.

I have always loved Vio-lence a whole lot. I later learned and realized that Vio-lence was the sort of band (regardless of genre) that drew extremely divided opinions from fans and critics. It's like you either LOVE or HATE the band, very rare to have in-between, mixed feelings about them. I just know that I loved them hugely. And yea, Killian, in spite of being panned for his voice and style, is a guy I really admire and enjoy. Sadly, Vio-lence, like so many other American thrashers, from out anywhere, had such a brief, blazing career, only to fade away so fast.

The band's amazing ferocity, velocity, and overall white-hot intense thrashy musicianship was breathtalking, at all levels. I rate 'Eternal Nightmare' as one of my permament Top 10 favourite thrash albums, of all time. 'Oppressing the Masses/Torture Tactics' was another slab of in-your-face, take-no-prisoner, thrash assault. 'Nothing to Gain' was very experimental, slower, less thrashy and aggressive, so yea, a bit disappointing, but it's still a great record I would never part with.
