I have always had a fondness for extreme metal EPs, and almost ALL the ones I have ever bought and heard have turned out to be excellent, worthy purchases that I still love and enjoy today.

Cannibal Corpse with an all-star deck of superb full-length studio records never really had any need to put out EPs to win anybody over. But frankly, I'm just so glad and proud of the fact that both these EPs, Worm Infested and Hammer Smashed Face, have been fantastic, stand-alone gems on their own, and precious bonus additions to any genuine CC fan's (not just the usual 'completists') personal collection.

I absolutely love both the EPs; from the actual song selection, the top-notch musicianship, no less, that you'd expect from the band anyway, and just the overall flow and vibes of both the brief records make me feel swell.

A real toughie for even myself to separate the two and settle for only one....However, Hammer Smashed Face narrowly wins on my card cos I probably just love that a bit more. The three covers are brilliantly done and surpass the originals on so many different levels, that it isn't even funny And the truly cool alternate remake versions of Meak Hook Sodomy and Shredded Humans, two cuts from two of my most-loved CC records of all time, makes HSF a classic, indispensable EP I could never part with. And hey, my immortal idol, Chris Barnes singing gives HSF precious freeibe points, to boot..

I won't gush on about the almost equally excellent Worm Infested, cos I have voted here already....

I have neither, but have heard all the tracks......

No question about it, I would rather have Worm Infested. "The Undead Will Feast" with Corpsegrinder on it is insane!!

HSF E.P. is cool....but Worm Infested destroys it, pees on it, digs a whole in the backyard and tosses its lifeless corpse in there.

But cannibals version of " the exorcist " is excellent , due to the vocalist .

Remade, not remastered. For one thing they're played on 7 string guitars this time downtuned to Bb so its even thicker and meaner, and for another thing Corpsegrinder does the vocals.

mmm yeah though jacks sounded more inhuman though and he hits the high death munching on flesh screams really well.

Worm infested, because you can find all the songs on the hsm ep on other releases (totm,tb,15yks).But you can't on the worm infested unless you get on ebay and happen to be lucky to get a foreign release.
