Lars was still terrible, Kirk didn't have any blues riffs then either, and Hetfield's voice was even whinier than today. "Ride The Lightening" and "Master Of Puppets" are better than anything Slayer has done since "Reign In Blood". But based on "Reign In Blood" alone, Slayer must be declared the winners. If Metallica had continued with the thrash excess of "Master Of Puppets" and the speed metal heavy technicality of "..And Justice For All" then I would probably declare Metallica to be the better band, but when it comes to which band wussed out in the bigger way, Metallica way out-wussies Slayer.
kirk is so bad. master of puppetts was pretty nasty, not gonna lie, but every one of slayer's albums until Seasons is better than any metallica album.
i like megadeth better than either band.
i like newer slayer stuff vs older stuff.......granted yes i still enjoy the few classic old jams they have but as a whole enjoy the newer stuff better.....
