Richardlikespie you're the fucking man because you share my extreme passion for Slayer. I chose Haunting the Chapel because my all time favorite Slayer song is... Haunting the Chapel. The opening riff on that song fucking rips and Chemical Warfare also sounds awesome on there, Tom sounds wicked evil and Dave is at his best. South of Heaven is a sweet album too though I love Silent Scream and Ghosts of War, the band really jams on those tracks. Divine Intervention was a fucking brutal nasty album, but I'm a purest... can't betray Dave

But Paul still sounds great there, I love Dittohead, 213 and Divine Intervention (the track) is mysterious and really neat. Hell Awaits is my favorite as far as musicianship goes but the production sucks... noramlly I could care less about that but it is fucking BAD. Still, Tom once said "we had so many riffs in each Hell Awaits song that you could make 10 songs out of all the riffs in one song." The band sounded super evil and fucking scary. That album gives me the chills but it's sweeet. Reign in Blood of course... masterpiece, nothing needs to be said, except that Criminally Insane has the best Slayer guitar solo ever and Necrophobic is one of their top songs because it's fucking fast and brutal. And Altar of Sacrifice is insane. I love Seasons, the sound on that album is great. Hallowed Point has a great guitar solo at the end where Jeff is doing those funky Egyptian sounding riffs I love that song. Also Tom sounds quite sinister and brutal, really putting everything together, and Dave's fills are immaculate. War Ensemble is the pinaccle in my opinion because Dave is just fucking INSANE he is amazing. Dead Skin Mask... duh... one of their best ever, true excellence portrayed in that song, and Temptation is neat because it showcases Dave, and Seasons in the Abyss is awesome because of that cool opening intro that's nice and slow. Kerry also has that soft riff in the intro, and I have the demo version of the song... with a flute added to the music

Kerry and Jeff sound amazing there too. I love how Tom screams "COILS OF THE SERPENT UNWIND!" on Spirit in Black. Wow I just went on for a long time...
Today in my English class we did impromptu speeches. That's where you pick a topic and you have to give a speech on it for 5 minutes straight uninterrupted, and you get graded. No pausing allowed. I chose Slayer, and too piss off my religious teacher I recited the lyrics to Jesus Saves. I talked for 5 minutes and explained from their beginning and kept going in chronological order... and only got as far as Hell Awaits because I had so much about them to talk about! SLAYER FUCKING RULES (of course i got a 100% on my speech

) Also I just got Soundtrack to the Apocalypse, which I strongly recommend. It has great footage of Slayer in their early days playing small venues.
