Paul is a fucking monster on the drums

I can sort of see where the OP might be coming from, because the drums on EP are maybe a little more straight forward than they were on Kill but only someone who listened to both records over and over would notice

I don't listen to the drums that much anyway, well not in particular listening to just the drums - lets put it that way

I think EP is a big step up from KILL, especially as concerns the song writing - speaking of which Paul's songs on EP are fucking killer wether you think the drums are as good as anything else or not

yeah origin took some time for me to get used to even so they only have a few good songs, they focus on be incredibly technical rather than making good music

his "human metronome" style is basically the thrash style of drumming right? i dont know of any other death metal groups at cannibals level that drum like that, or if they did drum like that at one point they made that transition to the technical or super fast styles that are popular today.

itd be interesting to see a song centered around a technical drum song in cannibal, do a couple songs on the next album, itd be cool to hear pauls take on a technical drum song

I used to really like Millennium a hell of a lot. I can never really get into any other album. The Burden of Evil demo was awesome though.

I'm pretty sure it's a fact that the god of death metal bass playing is this man

But if it comes down to these two, I'd say Alex for sure, since I'd place him possibly next in line overall and the fact that I hate Origin certainly helps

I say the self titled. That doesn't even take thinking for me. Legion came close, Once Upon the Cross would be next, the rest were anywhere from average to pretty good
